Frequently Asked Questions

• The retainer (previously referred to as ‘deposit”) is non-refundable and non-transferable. Payments are non-refundable and non transferable. 

• No appointments will be made without a retainer. If the artist (DanYel Williams) is unable to hold the appointment due to unforeseeable circumstances or is forced to cancel, the client (you) is issued a full refund of the retainer within 5 days of cancellation notice. 

• To secure any appointment with our company a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. Our online booking system will accept your payment via Booksy

• We can also invoice your bill via email  payment is accepted via Honeybook. 

• Your retainer will go towards your overall balance. 

• INVOICE: If you make payment via invoice, the client will need to pay within 24 hours of being sent. We can not and will not hold any appointment beyond that. Invoice are cancelled in 24 hours no exceptions. 

• A 50% non-refundable retainer payment will be required to secure online appointments. The remaining balance will be due on the day of appointment. 

• All payments are accepted via Booksy. 

• In-Studio appointment are made via Booksy app (makeupbydanyel) 

• Send us an email to info@makeupbydanyel.com with your desire date, time and the address where service will be received. We will check for availability - if the date and time is available we will send an invoice and contract. 

• A signed contract is required as well as 50% of the total cost of services is required at the time of booking . No date will be held without a retainer. The remaining balance is due 24 hours prior to the date of service.

• Dan'Yel accept bridal appointments 1 year in advance with limited availability. 

•  (Dan'Yel doesn't accept double booking).

• Once your wedding date is secure for your desire wedding date, Dan'Yel will not accept other bookings for that date.  - That date is all yours for the BIG DAY! 

Yes, I am available to travel to clients. And, I am available for destination weddings worldwide.  

On-demand travel makeup service has a set premium rate, please read the following: 

• Las Vegas Strip = FREE (location for service must be booked at a hotel location directly on the Las Vegas Strip) - with the exception of hotel parking.  Valet parking will be used if available (paid by client)

• $30 = Centennial Hills, Summerlin, NW Vegas, Spring Valley, SW Vegas & Henderson 

• $40 = East Vegas, North Las Vegas & Downtown Las Vegas

• $50 = Lake Las Vegas & Boulder City 

• If a location exceeds 1hr (one way), we require hotel accommodations (ie hotel, or Airbnb)  

• All tolls, parking, or valet costs must also be covered by the client. 

• Relocations (any situation in which the makeup station is packed up and moved to a second location) there is a $50 fee.

• Hotel accommodations in a safe area are required for the night prior when the start time is 9 AM or earlier, or the travel time is an hour or more. 

We will reach out to you via text the night before your appointment (we will send you a text when were in route and when we arrived). Please share your hotel and room details asap.  

If you are staying at an hotel that will not allow for us to go to your room without a key. You will need to be public lobby area. 

Rates is based off artist full day rate, with the exception of all travel, lodging, and food expenses. These expenses are required to be covered by the client. 

Hotel accommodations the night before the wedding day are required if the start time is 7 am or earlier (local) and the travel time is an hour or more with a start time of 9 am or earlier. 

We require destination weddings with 2+ hrs of drive time to book a room the evening before for artist. Lodging arrangements will eliminate unforeseen circumstances in the early morning to ensure the artists are on-site and ready to go at the requested time. 

Having some photos of inspiration on-hand is highly recommended - this will allow me to collect an idea of the wedding day look you are aiming for! Also, wear a white top or a shirt with an open neckline. And of course, don't forget to bring a photo of your DRESS! 

We accept Zelle, major credit and debit cards. (No checks). 

• In-studio appointments = payment is made via Booksy apps. 

• On-Demand appointments = Invoice is sent and full payment is required 24 hours prior to service. (50% retainer required at time of booking and signed contract) 

• Wedding appointments = Invoice is sent and full payment is required 2 weeks prior to service. (50% retainer required at time of booking and signed contract) 

Applicable parking fees will be added to the total service fee. Valet parking will be used if your hotel offer this service. 

If a on-demand travel appointment is canceled and contract must be terminated, the client is responsible for 50% of the total cost of services booked for date of service. 

• If a wedding contract must be terminated due to a wedding day cancellation, the bridal client is responsible for 30% of the total cost of services (bridal & bridal party included) booked for her date.  

• If a wedding cancellation occurs within 30 days or less prior of the wedding date, the bridal client is responsible for 50% of the total cost of services (bridal & bridal party included) booked for her date.  

• Cancellations must be made in writing by email to info@makeupbydanyel.com as soon as possible.

• It is your responsibility to ensure that the cancellation notice is received and acknowledged by Company. Any change to a confirmed wedding date or location is subject to availability of the Company. In any circumstance where our artist is ill or otherwise unable to perform the contracted services, we will provide you with another qualified artist on your wedding day.

• A postponed/change date fee of $100.00 is charged and collected.( We will check to see if we have your date available, if your wedding date is available you will be charged change $100 fee if your wedding date is NOT available your retainer is forfeited.) 

• In the event your wedding date is postponed. The retainer is forfeited and applied to your new date as a credit. 

• If your wedding event is postponed a second time, the same rules apply, and the contract will be negotiated at our current rates. 

• If your wedding event is postponed a third time, your retainer is forfeited and the client is required to start a new wedding booking.  

The skin will be prepped for makeup by removing any excess makeup or dirt on the skin. Elevated skin prep where eye patches are applied and cool hydration refresher mister applied over the face along with a lip mask. Moisturizer and primer is applied according to your skin type. Eye makeup will be done prior to the foundation to avoid eye shadow "fallout". Brows are filled in followed by contour, bronzer, blush and highlighter. Lashes are then applied following a lip color. The look is completed with setting powder and finishing spray. 

One week prior to your makeup appointment, make sure that you are consistent with your skincare regimen by cleansing and moisturizing, day and night. Drink plenty of water. Use a gentle exfoliator on your skin twice a week. Clean up your brow shape by either tweezing, waxing or threading.  

 No, I do not book partial makeup applications.

Estee Lauder, Charlotte Tilbury, Tarte Shape, Sacha Cosmetics, Anastasia Beverly Hills, M.A.C and One Size are a few of the preferred cosmetic brands that I have found exceptional and are readily stocked in my professional makeup artist kit. 

When booking your special occasion makeup appointment, please allow for one hour and 30 minutes. If you are booking a bridal makeup trial, please allow up to 2 hours. If you are the bride, please allow 2 hour 30 minutes  for yourself and one hour and 30 minutes per member of the bridal party on the wedding day.
